JML makes one of a kind guitars and other stringed instruments. All handmade by one guy in Indianapolis, Indiana.
JML's take on a Mustang Bass. I've always thought there should be full scale Mustang Basses, for some reason they make them all short scales, so I made this one a full 34". This is #0022 Here's the complete list of specs:
3 piece Mahogany and Black Walnut neck through a Black Walnut body with a cool grain matched Walnut access panel that really hides well. Curly Maple veneer on the front of the headstock. Curly Maple racing stripes inlaid into the front. Hand cut 34" scale Red Padauk fretboard with Curly Maple binding and black side marker dots. Two-way adjustable truss rod with two carbon fiber reinforcement bars for a super stable, but still adjustable neck.
Gotoh Bridge; Fender open-gear tuning machines; A Fender Humbucker in the bridge position and a handwound humbucker in the neck position with a neck/both/bridge 3-way toggle switch, giving a pretty amazingly wide range of tones; Bourns 500k volume and tone pots with an Orange Drop capacitor on the tone circuit; off-white speed knobs; Vintage style fabric wrapped wire; fully copper shielded control cavity and cover; Jumbo Jescar frets; hand cut buffalo bone nut; Beautiful hand buffed lacquer finish. Comes with custom made wooden case (pictured)
This thing is a BEAST and has unbelievable sustain because of the neck-through construction. Plays like a dream, super smooth with nice low action. All JML guitars and handmade by one guy in Indianapolis, Indiana from the most local materials possible (all the Walnut and Maple on this are from central Indiana).
